Cliff: What answer do I have on the fact that Evolution proofs that God could not have created the world in seven days, as we reed in the book of Genesis (O.T.) and that God is an illusion of the credulous?
As we read, when God created men he used clay, while he could have created them out of thin air. So it is possible, and perhaps the only explanation, that when God created the earth he did not create it out of thin air, but from an existing piece of rock from a by-gone age. A piece of rock on which life existed in the past, but which at some time became extinct, leaving this rock desolate, dried out, in darkness and uninhabited for millions of years. God then created the earth from this piece of rock, reigniting the sun upon it and recalling the seas. Then he created men to his liking; and animals. Thus the missing link (the last common ancestor/LCA) could still be excavated one day in the future. To date, there is neither proof of the existence of the LCA, nor of God and his creation of men.
Thus, in eyes of the believer, the missing link may not be in the hearth of the earth, but in the ‘Extinction and resurrection of what is planet earth and, finally, the creation of a unique human species by God’.
And this then explains why we find skeletons and fossils which are millions of years old in the heart of our earth
Believers don’t need proof, for by faith they live in the laws and the promise of Jesus. They know that all those “doubt-raisers” are placed before them to try their faith: and they must not be persuaded toward doubting the truth of the Gospel.
