Born Again
To be ‘Born Again’ is a metaphor Jesus used as a reference to the baptism ritual:
JOH 3: 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
JOH 3: 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Cliff: water and the spirit denote ‘baptism’ and then you pray for the Holy Ghost. Metaphorically, repenting is the contract you must read and accept and baptism is the signature you must draw to bind this agreement between you and God.
LUK 11: 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
JOH 3: 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
JOH 3: 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
PE1 1: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
Do not believe what Joyce Meyer and false ministries like her are teaching you (if you want to be a Christian) that to believe that Jesus died for our sins will get you to enter heaven: no way, says God: you must repent and baptise so that you can never sin again: for then you are reborn of incorruptible seed. From then on, you can only slip, make errors, not commit premeditated sins like fornication, murder, etc. This will not be possible, because you are reborn of incorruptible seed.
Some Baptismal quotes from the Gospel
Jesus
MAT 26: 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(Cliff: Jesus tells you that to remember that he was nailed to the cross and stabbed for what he has brought us: Faith, Repentance and Baptism = Salvation: the result of a successful Baptism ritual)
HEB 10: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
HEB 10: 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
HEB 10: 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
HEB 10: 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
HEB 10: 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
ACT 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
ACT 10: 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
ROM 3: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
HEB 9: 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
LUK 1: 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
HEB 10: 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
HEB 10: 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
