Penance and pretending to forgive sins

Penance and Pretending to Forgive Sins

The system where priests of the churches are seemingly forgiving sins is fraudulent to the core.
How does one know that the priest forgiving is actually a repented and baptised Christian, having received the holy ghost? How many have not been revealed frauds: fornicators, crooks, pedos etc.?  If Jesus’ comment extends to all the Christian and not alone to the persons he actually quotes the below verses too, then still the churches should not practice this. Sins ought to be confessed to each other by believers and Christians, and not to priest.

TI1  2: 5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
TI1  2: 6  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

JOH  14: 6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

JAM 5: 16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

MAT  9: 2  And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
MAT  9: 5  For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
MAT  9: 6  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

LUK  7: 44  And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
LUK  7: 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
LUK  7: 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
LUK  7: 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
LUK  7: 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

...And The Gates Of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against It
Through the ages, Catholics and other Nicolaitans defied the above quotation by Jesus,
oppressing and murdering many, deceiving and misleading many more.
But they have not and shall not prevail against
'His Church'.
